“The Advanced Fiction workshop is the logical continuation of the other Fiction workshops (The Short Story, Flash Fiction, The Novel, Read Like a Writer, and Revise Your Fiction). Technical aspects such as point of view, tone, structure, etc., are reviewed in depth, together with more ambitious and personal questions about the writing process: Why do I write? What kind of stories do I want to write? How can I make use of all my [emotional and intellectual] resources to write more effectively? For me, the two days were an immersive reflection about writing, surrounded by writers with similar concerns.”
