“As someone who loves to write for my own enjoyment, I understood that I was essentially building my writer’s toolbox, and I wanted to work on projects that would require more sophisticated tools. For me, this workshop was a place to find those sophisticated tools. I learned techniques for the actual writing process, and I came away with a deeper sense of what moves readers. I’m finding that this focused study of the writing process helps not only with my personal writing, but in my profession. I am excited to delve deeper into my writing— both memoir and fiction—with the sophisticated tools I now have.”
