“I really enjoyed the writing workshop! It had the unexpected side-effect of reigniting a love of writing that I didn’t know I had. I’ve always enjoyed writing, but it’s been shrouded in a haze of tedium since it’s tied up in feelings of obligation (writing essays for school, responding to work emails, etc.). The workshop really got my wheels turning—so much of the advice that came up is applicable to creative pursuits in general.

I’ve heard people say that the best antidote to anxiety is action and the same is true of writing. Writing and putting pen to paper can help you overcome those feelings and get to a place where you have something to build on. Don’t let your negative feelings around the act of writing keep you from engaging with the work.”
