“This was the first writing class I attended and I can say it gave me a great head start. It gave me concrete ideas about how I can organize the process of writing. The most important takeaway for me as a beginner was to see that I can apply techniques and write a piece in a very short time; working at it and hearing feedback was something unbelievable for me. Contrary to my previous mindset, I had the feeling that this is something I can do.
Although I had a lot of anxiety, my favourite part [of the weekend] was the second day. It was amazing to read what everybody wrote and hear feedback; it was really eye-opening.”
