1. WHAT'S A GOOD STARTING POINT?
Many people prefer to start with Simply Writing—because it's all about being able to get the words out of your head and onto the page. Not everyone wants to start with this class. Please call or send us an e-mail and we'll talk about it with you.
2. WHO TEACHES THE WORKSHOPS?
Lisa Friedman; guest teachers include Rob AndristPlourde.
3. ARE THE WORKSHOPS SEQUENTIAL?
No, each workshop is self-contained. For those people who want to continue to work on their writing, we offer new topics regularly.
4. HOW DO I REGISTER?
Fill in the registration form or contact us by phone or e-mail; we'll let you know if there's room in the class you'd like to take.
5. HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE WORKSHOP?
All you need is a short phone conversation with the instructor. Just e-mail us and we'll arrange it.
6. I'M JUST A BEGINNING WRITER, IS THAT OKAY?
Absolutely—we welcome people at all levels.
7. HOW MANY PEOPLE USUALLY ATTEND THE WORKSHOP?
Twelve—unless it's one of our semi-annual How to Write Funny workshops.
8. ENGLISH IS NOT MY MOTHER TONGUE; WILL I BE ABLE TO FOLLOW WHAT'S SAID?
Many non-native English speakers attend the workshops regularly. Please contact us and we'll discuss it.
9. WILL MY WRITING BE CRITICIZED?
Absolutely not. We provide instruction, direction, and encouragement—not criticism per se.
10. DO YOU SERVE COFFEE AND TEA AT THE WORKSHOPS?
Yes; we serve cookies as well.
